Joshua Stover is the Director of Bands at W.E. Boswell High School. Previously, he held positions at Birdville High School, Walsh Middle School, and also served several band programs in Leander, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Austin, and Azle ISD. He received a Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s in Music Education from UT-Arlington.
Josh’s ensembles in the marching, jazz, and concert arenas consistently receive Superior (1st division) ratings at contests. Additionally, his jazz ensembles have earned the Mark of Excellence (2023) and won their classifications at the TCU, UTA, and Tarleton State Jazz Festivals. His concert ensembles have received the Citation of Excellence and the GIFTS Performance of Distinction. Additional accolades have included invitations to perform at the APEX Jazz Festival, the Big XII Trombone Conference, and the American Trombone Workshop.
Josh also has a diverse performance background that includes appearances with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the U.S. Navy Band Commodores (premier jazz band), and several albums with the historic University of Michigan Symphony Band. Other unique opportunities have included halftime at “The Big House” (Michigan Stadium) with the New York Philharmonic Brass, a summer at the Brevard Music Festival, and performing with Jef Coffin of the Dave Matthews Band. Josh studied trombone under Dennis Bubert, Charlie Vernon, and David Jackson. Notable orchestra conductors he has worked with include Keith Lockhart (Boston Pops) and Alan Gilbert (N.Y. Philharmonic). Notable band conductors include Michael Haithcock and H. Robert Reynolds (Michigan), as well as highly regarded military conductors Col. John R. Bourgeois and Col. Arnald D. Gabriel. In 2019, he was selected to join the TMEA All-State Etude Selection Committee, picking the bass trombone etudes for the state. He has also presented at the annual TBA and TMEA conventions on the topic of instrument pedagogy. He is an advocate for unique community performance opportunities for his students, which has led to collaborations with local orchestras, impressive guest artists like Joe Alessi and Charlie Vernon, and multiple invitations to perform the national anthem at major sporting events.
Josh was born in England, grew up in Texas (Copperas Cove), and now lives in Fort Worth with his family - Lisa, Eli, Emily, and rescue dog Chase! His biggest hobbies are going on family adventures, perfecting his barbecue skills, and eating ice cream every single day.

Stuart is an educator, clinician and performer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He currently serves as Assistant Director of bands and Director of Percussion at Boswell High School. Stuart is a graduate of Texas A&M-Commerce, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and studying with Brian West, Paul Rennick, Nate Buonviri, Kennan Wylie and Michael Varner.
Throughout his career, Stuart’s ensembles have achieved multiple championship titles and awards. His marching ensembles have placed first at numerous competitions, including the Plano, Crowley and Lone Star Drumline Competitions, and have twice been named North Texas Drumline Association (NTCA) Grand Champions. Under Stuart’s direction, his concert percussion ensembles have achieved multiple division 1 ratings at Texas State Solo & Ensemble, won the call for tapes and performed at the 2009 Music For All National Percussion Festival, and performed with guest artists Michael Burritt, Steve Smith, Lalo Davila and Ignacio Berroa. In addition, Stuart is the founder and director of Network Percussion Ensemble, an international touring group that offers its students the opportunity to perform on a world-stage. In 2011, the group traveled to Sydney, Australia, to perform a showcase concert at the world-renowned Sydney Opera House; future tours included Spain and Italy. Over the last 13 years Stuart has created an indoor drumline at Boswell High School that has been a two time Open Class World Finalist and this past season was a Scholastic World Class Finalist at the WGI Championships in Dayton Ohio. Stuart is excited to get Boswell back to WGI World Championships in 2024.
Stuart has also spent over 22 years in the drum and bugle corps activity, as a member, instructor, caption head, arranger and program coordinator. He marched Lone Star Drum & Bugle Corps from 1993 until aging out in 1997. After that, he spent ten years on the percussion and program staff at Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps, followed by three years with Revolution Drum & Bugle Corps as a consultant and, later, the Program & Staff Coordinator. In his spare time Stuart enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife Julia and their 9 year old daughter Margot. Stuart proudly endorses Zildjian Cymbals and Vic Firth sticks and mallets and the Dynasty/Titian Drum Company as well as Remo Drum Heads.

Dylan Teel is entering his fifth year of teaching and is serving in his first year as an Assistant Band Director at Boswell High School. Prior to his appointment at Boswell High School, he held positions at Horseshoe Bend High School in New Site, AL and Veterans Memorial Middle School in Columbus, GA. He received a Master of Music Degree in Wind Conducting from the University of Louisville in 2020 and received a Bachelor of Music Education Degree with the distinctions of University Honors Scholar and Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University in 2018.
During his tenure at Horseshoe Bend High School, Dylan consistently led the marching and concert bands to Superior (Division I) Ratings at festivals and contests. In February 2023, he led the Horseshoe Bend Concert Band to receive all superior ratings at the Alabama Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessment for the first time in 17 years. Other honors include being recognized as a successful young band director and sponsored by the Rho Chapter (Alabama) of Phi Beta Mu to attend the Conn Selmer Institute in 2023 as well as being named a Semifinalist of the National Band Association Young Conductor Mentor Project in 2019.
Dylan studied trumpet under Dr. Mark DeGoti and Dr. Reese Land and conducting under Dr. Rick Good and Dr. Fred Speck. Dylan’s professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, National Band Association, College Band Directors National Association, National Association for Music Education, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America.
Originally from Camp Hill, AL, Dylan is new to the Fort Worth area. During his free time, he likes traveling the world, hiking, running, playing video games and trivia, cheering on the Auburn Tigers, and spending time with his family and friends.
Marvin Alexander

Marvin Alexander is originally from Nashville, TN but now lives in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. Marvin has worked as a color guard director in public education for over 13 years. Currently, Marvin is the color guard director at Garland High School. Over the past two years, Garland has boasted several titles such as; Best Overall Color Guard (2022,2023), WGI Regional Finalist, NTCA RA Bronze Medalist, NTCA SA Championship Finalist, and 2023-2024 WGI Scholastic A Semi-Finalist.
Prior to moving to the DFW Metroplex, He has served as creative director/program coordinator for many programs across the nation. Marvin loves being able to share his immense passion for the activity with so many different programs, and watch his students progress and grow under his direction.
In his spare time he loves to spend time with family and friends, physical fitness, immersing himself in the outdoors, playing video games, and traveling. Marvin is excited to start his new journey with the Boswell High School Band of Gold!

Tyler Orbison has been involved in music and music education for over 20 years. As a performer, Tyler spent time with many outstanding groups, such as Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, The Dallas Mavericks Drum Line and the award winning Texas A&M Commerce Percussion Ensemble.
Tyler has done a variety of instructional and design work for many outstanding programs, including Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps, Forte Drum and Bugle Corps, Flower Mound HS, Berkner HS, Surround Sound Percussion and many others.
Tyler is a founder of Vigilantes Indoor Percussion (ViP), where he currently serves as Program Coordinator, Ensemble Director and Batterie Designer. He also currently serves as Arranger and Percussion Caption Manager for the Boswell HS Marching Band, as well as Program Coordinator, Ensemble Director, Batterie Designer and Visual Designer for the highly competitive Boswell Indoor Percussion Ensemble.
Tyler is an active judge, clinician and private instructor in the DFW area and all over the world.
